Introducing Tom Huggett: Our New Account Manager



We're excited to welcome Tom Huggett to #teamforest as one of our new Account Managers!


Tom brings a solid background in professional kitchens, having kicked off his culinary career doing ski seasons as a kitchen assistant- "mainly for the snow", he admitted. After a few too many skiing injuries, he decided to return to the UK and take Cheffing seriously, working in a number of great venues across the South West.


Eventually, his food journey took to the seas, where he worked as a Chef aboard superyachts. Now, after nearly 15 years in kitchens, Tom is ready for a new challenge- one that still keeps him close to the food world.


"I felt that after nearly 15 years in the kitchen it was time to start a new challenge. Here i can use my background of food knowledge to connect with customers and build some great new professional relationships."


Having used Forest Produce as a Chef, Tom already knows the value of great ingredients and good service:


"They've always been my go-to supplier in the kitchen. And coming from Honiton- just down the road- there's a really friendly, local feel to the company that I've always liked."

We also asked Tom the all-important question...

One ingredient you think is underrated in kitchens?


"Panko breadcrumbs for me! There really isn't anything that doesn't taste good- if not better- when coated and deep fried!"

We're thrilled to have Tom on board. Over the next few weeks, he'll be reaching out to the customers in his area-so keep an eye out, say hello, and don't be afraid to quiz him on his favourite deep-fried snacks!
